Each year on Canada Day, I like to reflect on what a great country we live in. The kids and I are free to explore as we wish and have done some pretty awesome things in Canada. Here are a few on my favourite Canada posts from this year:
Winter in Muskoka
We spent the winter enjoying true Canadian experiences in Muskoka. With the JW Marriott Resort as our home base, we were able to go dogsledding, ice fishing and snowmobiling. I was really proud of my kids for toughing out the cold temps and will remember this winter fondly as the year we actually went outside.
Toronto
Toronto is our home and always will be. From this great city, we can catch flights across the world and have a million things to do when we are home. This year, we explored the Toronto Zoo, headed to Canada’s Wonderland and even attending a SugarBush Maple Syrup Festival. If you live here or are visiting, this list of the 35 coolest things to do in Toronto with your kids is a perfect starting place to adventure and fun.
Summer in Ontario
As summer is starting up, there is so much to do with kids in this great country. We look forward every year to the Canadian National Exhibition and spent a great two days there last year celebrating our great nation. The CNE returns to Toronto in August. We kicked off summer in the best way at the Horseshoe Resort Adventure park. If you are looking for a great way to re-discover fun and reconnect with your kids this summer make sure to check out Horseshoe Resort.
The Year to Come
So far, most of our travel plans are taking us outside of Canada. That being said we are hoping to continue to travel within this great country particularly heading out to Western Canada, Nova Scotia and perhaps a return to one of our favourite Canadian spots Prince Edward Island.
